Dorms & Bathrooms
A common question we receive from parents is, “What are the dorms like?” We are happy to give you a look inside. Below are a few photos of our dormitories and bathrooms to help families become familiar with student life at the Academy.
Comfortable Dorm Rooms
The dormitories at St. Louis de Montfort Academy are appointed with dignity, simplicity, and quality. Most rooms accommodate four students and feature two handcrafted oak bunk beds built by master craftsman Mr. Michael Shibler. These solid, sturdy beds are designed to serve generations of students.
Each student is provided with:
- His own dresser for personal belongings
- A designated closet for clothing
- A comfortable living space that encourages order
Our dormitories are intentionally designed to foster a family atmosphere where boys learn to live together with mutual respect, good order, and Christian charity.
Private Bathrooms
Unlike many boarding schools, the Academy provides private bathrooms for students. We believe that every young man can thrive in an environment that promotes modesty, dignity, and respect for others.
Because our Catholic faith teaches that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, the Academy encourages habits of Christian decorum. There are no gang showers. Instead, students use private bathing facilities and wear bathrobes and slippers when walking between their rooms and the bathrooms.
This thoughtful approach helps students develop habits of modesty, cleanliness, and consideration for others while giving parents confidence that their sons are living in a respectful, wholesome environment.
